The 2026 PREPARES Open Your Heart Second Collection will take place on February 7 and 8 in parishes across Washington state. Envelopes will be distributed during this time. PREPARES – Pregnancy & Parenting Support – offers care for mothers and fathers from pregnancy to their child’s fifth birthday, regardless of beliefs.

In 2025, 197 parishes participated, with 1,070 volunteers engaging in over 27,218 encounters with families in need.

In the Gospel today Jesus gives us the Beatitudes, which embody a radically alternative vision of life and we find that God indeed calls us to blessedness. The Knights of Columbus have set up a Ukraine Solidarity Fund to provide humanitarian aid. Funds will provide temporary shelter, food, medical supplies, clothing, communications and religious supplies. These items will all be immediately distributed, and 100% of your gift will go directly to these displaced people. Donate at https://www.kofc.org.

La segunda colecta anual de PREPARES, “Abre tu corazón”, se llevará a cabo el 7 y 8 de febrero en las parroquias de todo el estado de Washington.
